Become a Volunteer

Are you looking for opportunities to address the issue of sexual violence? Do you want to volunteer with like-minded people and make a meaningful contribution to your community? The volunteer program at the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton might be what you are looking for!

SACE is able to offer its services to the Edmonton community because of the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. By becoming a volunteer at SACE, you are helping to ensure our organization continues to be able to offer support for those affected by sexual violence.

Whether you have a lot of free time or just a few hours here and there, SACE offers a number of opportunities to be involved in our work. Here are some ways you can contribute to our organization:

  • Be a supportive listener on our 24-Hour Sexual Assault Crisis Line
  • Provide office support by compiling statistics, scheduling volunteers, newsletter production, typing, photocopying, research, etc.
  • Serve on our Board of Directors or on various Board Committees
  • Help with fundraising and special events

Individuals interested in volunteering for the 24-Hour Sexual Assault Crisis Line must be able to participate in supportive listening and crisis intervention training. Click here for more information.

If you do not have the time to become a volunteer at SACE, but would like to support our organization in another way, we happily accept and appreciate monetary donations. Click here to make a donation to SACE.
