It is possible to give specific suggestions, some of which also apply to prevention against acquaintances. By being aware of precautions you can take, you may lessen the chances of being assaulted. Being aware is your best defense.
There is much you can do to lessen your risk of being assaulted. However, you may be a victim of an assault in spite of your efforts to take precautions. Do not blame yourself for what happened. IT IS NEVER THE VICTIMS FAULT.
